In my workshop in the bush I give sculpting workshops for people who like to make. You don't need experience, but you do need enthusiasm, and a lack of fear of getting dirty!

 Making a creature from pinch pots. (4-5 hrs) This is a super fun and do-able technique in which you can put as much creativity as you want. 

 A fantasy creature will give you lots of freedom for creating ! 

But, if you have an idea on an animal you want to do- bring photos-

Remember that a Wombat is easier than a Giraffe, because long thin clay bits will slump or break while drying, so it takes a lot more luck to dry it right.

In Class;

We will create the animal, dry it as far as we can in my drying cabinet, then colour with underglazes.

I will then bisque-fire and put a clear glaze over the animals- and glaze fire. 

Pick up in the following weeks (process is 4-6 w ) from my studio, or PC 3121..

The cost for this workshop will be $150 per person- with a minimum 2 people, maximum of 10 people. (discounts for groups booking) 

** If only one person books- workshop will not go ahead on that date- fee will be refunded or can be used for another date.

Workshop 'create a creature'  

In this fun class you will learn basic techniques of clay working, how to apply these techniques, and how to build on from there. You will learn and apply texture- and expression. 
After a short break, you will use underglaze to colour your work. 
A great way to approach your creature is to just let it appear, and grow during your class. This will give you lots of freedom for creating! If you do have an idea on an animal you want to do- bring photos. I will help you create in a way that works in clay. 
This is all super fun and do-able, and you can put as much creativity as you want in your project. 

The class will run for about 4, max 5 hours, with a break in between. You can bring your own snacks and drinks- glasses are available. Coffee and tea provided.

​Since Clay has to dry slowly before it can be fired to a temperature which makes it suitable for outside, You will be able to pick up your project in about 4 weeks.

Workshop - create a vessel

In this workshop we will create a vessel- (a pot, a vase, a ?? ) - you can choose from 3 age old techniques - then add texture, and colour- or choose a glaze.

There is a lot of freedom in shape- and if it turns out a little different- that was exactly what you planned right ?? :-)

2 people minimum -

If class does not go ahead, booking fee will be refunded- or can be used towards another class.

Bookings of 3 or more will get a discount of 10%

A full class of 8 people- will get a discount of 20%
